Top of the mornin' to ya all! With the day of green all around us, I am forced to ask myself...when will nature melt away the white sparkles and allow the earth to become green again? I know we are getting close, there are small signs everywhere if you look close enough. It no longer is dark before dinner, birds can be heard chirping in nearby trees, and today my local fish stand opened for the season. Yes, spring is almost here! While we still have 3 days before the official start of the season, I did take advantage of the warmer weather today to stroll down by the river and allow my mind to wander free as I took in all of the sights that I have not been able to adore for the past 5 months. Oh how I miss going down to the water and feeding the ducks that would swim by the shore (and at the same time manage to annoy all of the fishermen there!). I am yearning for the days when the trees are in full bloom and will sway gently back and forth in a warm winter breeze. It brings me such peace just to sit back and be in awe of the beauty that nature has created all around me. The next few weeks will bring much excitement to me as I watch the transformation that will magically transform in front me. Will you be watching too? Send me a comment and let's see how many signs of spring we can find together!
I have the privilege of being able to shape the minds and lives of children who are battling disabilities. It can be very trying at times, but more often than not it is very rewarding. As a mother of a child with a disability, I know the struggles that they go through on a daily basis. This allows me to have a little more compassion for the people that I work with.
