What's better than reading a good book?
Being able to give away free copies of great books to others. As an official World Book Night giver, that's exactly what I'm going to be able to do.
Last year the United States took part in it's first World Book Night event and I was thrilled to be a part of it. I gave away 20 copies of Because of Winn Dixie to kids in my school. This year, I will be searching for twenty more individuals to hand them a copy of Look Again, by Lisa Scotoline.
What exactly is World Book Night? It is a global effort to put books in the hands of light or non-readers, in an effort to teach them the love of reading. Volunteers around the world have signed up to deliver books on April 23rd. The list of books being given away this year is amazing
